ADNAN AZIZ: A NEW CHAPTER FOR A BENINESE FORWARD FORGED IN EUROPE
From Djougou to Italy, through the Czech Republic and France, Adnan Aziz has built his football journey far from home. At 24, the Beninese forward is determined to turn his experience and the challenges he has faced into the strongest chapter of his career yet.

Adnan Aziz’s journey has been anything but straightforward. Born on January 1, 2002, in Djougou, Benin, he began playing football with Tchemabi FC and Soleil FC before leaving his home country at a young age to pursue his ambitions in Europe.

Italy was his first major step in 2018, with Pro Cittiglio. His journey later took him to the Czech Republic with FK Králův Dvůr, followed by France, where he continued his development with Angers MFC and Olympique Saumur. He eventually returned to Italy, representing ASD Licata Calcio and ASD Juvenilia Roseto.

Those experiences have shaped him both as a footballer and as a young professional. Moving between countries, cultures and different football environments taught him one of the most important lessons in the game: the ability to adapt.

Standing at 1.86 metres, Aziz offers the physical qualities expected from a modern centre-forward, particularly in the air and in physical battles. But his years in Europe have also helped him develop his understanding of the game and his ability to adapt to different systems.

THE TEST OF INJURY
His career has also been interrupted by injury, forcing him to face one of the toughest periods of his young career.

The support he received from his club, including assistance with his operation and recovery, was particularly important during that period.

Now, his priority is clear: return to full fitness, regain his best form and establish himself as an important player at club level.

“I want to work hard, perform at my best with my club and put myself in the best possible position to earn another opportunity with Benin,” Aziz says.

BENIN REMAINS THE AMBITION
Aziz has already represented Benin at youth level, including with the U20 and U23 teams. With the U23 side, he has made three appearances and scored once.

The senior national team remains a major ambition.

He knows that competition for places is intense and that a call-up cannot be taken for granted. His answer, therefore, has to come on the pitch: through performances, consistency and hard work.

With important international competitions and qualifying campaigns ahead, Aziz wants to put himself back in the conversation.

At 24, Adnan Aziz believes the best part of his story is still ahead of him.

Italy, the Czech Republic and France have given him experience. Injury has tested his patience. His recovery has strengthened his determination.

Now, he wants to turn that experience into impact.
