He was talking to Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain who called on him in Islamabad today.
He said the federal government is undertaking development initiatives in renewable energy, tourism, infrastructure, health, education, and other sectors for the wellbeing of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Shehbaz Sharif said the federal government's priority projects include a 100-megawatt solar power project and the establishment of Daanish Schools in Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said the government is also planning to establish Pakistan Asaan Khidmat Centre in Gilgit to facilitate the people of the region.
The Prime Minister congratulated Amjad Hussain on assuming the office of Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.
